Candace Sutcliffe

My passion for design began when I bought my first home, in my early 20s.  I had started with the intention of a small renovation and discovered that the possibilities for design exploration were boundless: there were endless ways to work with textures and tones, allowing me to  create beautiful and thoughtful living spaces where form met function . This came to be an extension of my personal style: a holistic approach to design, from the architecture of the building itself, to the exterior look and feel, complemented by a harmonious interior design.

After a successful renovation, my partner at the time and I decided that building from the ground up, working from the outside in, was more our speed, and thus, a passion project was born.  I worked exclusively with Art House Developments for 10 years, and  Design Candy went from concept to reality in the Fall of 2016. Design Candy is a way for me to collaborate with other architects and developers while working directly and on a personal level with clients, which I really enjoy.  I am designing a sweeter life, from the outside in, all created in balance.

I also lead a successful retail company which helps me keep on top of kitchen trends and the best our industry has to offer, while still taking on interesting and challenging projects where I am able to share my passion for all things design.
